HNFS researchers recieve grant from the USDA to explore pea protein's ability to modulate human gut microbiota
Dr. Leqi Cui, along with Co-PIs Dr. Ravi Nagpal and Dr. Prashant Singh, has been awarded a prestigious grant from the United States Department of Agriculture for their project titled "Impact of structural modification techniques on pea (Pisum sativum L.) protein's ability to modulate human gut microbiota". This 2-year grant, totaling $147,900, is part of the USDA's Pulse Crop Health Initiative, which seeks solutions to critical health and sustainability challenges.
